Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
God let Israel, know that he was his servant whom he had chosen and had not cast him away, and in Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help.
For God had not given us the Spirit of Fear, but of Power, and of Love, and of a Sound Mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Matthew 24:7b & 8 and there shall be famines, and PESTILENCES ( a fatal epidemic disease), and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Jesus let us know in Matthew 24: 6 see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Psalms 91: 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome PESTILENCE. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; 6 Nor for the PESTILENCE that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation, 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: 15 He shall call upon me , and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
2 Chronicles 7:13, & 14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send PESTILENCE among my people: If my people , which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK my face, and TURN from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
During these trying times, as we PRAY: Lord, give us the Boldness to speak your word to this troubled world, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs, and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. Ref. Acts 4:29
“NOW LET US PRAY, AND WITNESS AS NEVER BEFORE”
James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Reference Scripture 1 Samuel 1:1-28
Hannah (Grace) was a Praying woman who was barren. She was married to Elkanah (God’s chosen), who was a righteous man. He was a Ephrathite of the tribal territory of Ephraim. Elkanah had a second wife named Penniah who had children, but Hannah had no children, and was provoked by her adversary because the Lord had closed her womb. Therefore she wept, and did not eat because she was miserable, and destitute, and only God could give her the joy she desired. Hannah didn’t just sit idly and complain about her situation, but she exercised her faith in God through Prayer.
Through Hannah’s desperation, submission, and contrite spirit, she grew closer to God, and in her misery she trusted in God’s true grace. She entered into the Closet of Prayer, and drew apart from her adversary to commune with God. ( Sometimes we may need to steal away with Jesus, and acknowledge Him in Prayer). Her Prayer was accomplished by the vow that ‘if God would give her a son, she would give him back to Him for the rest of his life. She further vowed he would be a Nazarite (Numbers 6:1-4), and would separate himself to the Lord. God granted her request, and Hannah remembered God, and kept her vow. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow than that thou shouldest vow, and not pay” (Eccles. 5:5)
Regardless of the circumstances, Hannah continued to Pray before God. Hannah’s Pray was intense, completely spiritual, and inward, for she spoke from the heart. She travailed in Prayer, pouring out her soul before the Lord. The petition Hannah made was fervent as well as sincere, and God heard her cry, and granted her request. “The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16
