In the Spiritual Closet, Winter is the last season of our lives. It is a time to rest in the Lord and hold fast to our profession in Christ Jesus. It is a time where we have anchored ourselves in the Lord, gripping to that solid rock, not being easily shaken in our faith. We have put on the Full Armor of God to be fully covered with that Spiritual Armor. It is a time of knowing that whatever battle we are confronted with in our lives, God is at the helm, and He is the Captain of the ship, “For the battle is not ours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15).
It is a time when we have gone through trials, but our past problems and circumstances have bought about present confidence. It is a time when we understand we did not make it on our own, but by staying in the Closet Of Prayer. We may not be able to run quickly physically, but our Spiritual pace has picked up. Therefore we are running that we may obtain Eternal life. We are moving slow, but staying in the Closet Of Prayer. It is a time we are ” Coming boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain Mercy, and find Grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
So whatever the needs are in our lives, we have the confidence that God is going to work out every problem, and bring us through victoriously. “We will not cast away our confidence which have a great recompense of reward” (Hebrews 10:35).
We will stay in The Closet Of Prayer with unwavering faith. 1 John 5:14-15 says “And this is the confidence we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will he heareth us: And if we know that he heareth us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him”.
We will stay in The Closet Of Prayer with unwavering faith. So in the Winter of our lives, When we think of aging we usually think of coming to the end of our journey here on earth, but this journey never ends; it just takes on new directions.
