Hebrews 4:16 Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain ,mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Song: In Times Like These, We Need A Savior, In Times Like These We Need An Anchor (Hope, and Faith in God, Stability) Be Very Sure Your Anchor Hold, And Grip A Solid Rock. “This Rock Is Jesus”, He Is The One.
Be Very Sure: If You Are Not Sure The Lord’s Hands Is Outstretched, Willing To Forgive You Of Your Sins, And Cleanse You From ALL Unrighteousness.
“IN TIMES LIKE THESE”
We are living in a time, an era, that we have never experienced before. A time where the Nation is on alert, because of a Virus called Corona. A Pandemic, a disease that is widespread, that will take only God to completely destroy.
We have had other Pandemics; In 1858 there was Scarlet Fever, where there was never a vaccine discovered to treat it. The only treatment was antibiotics. IT ENDED WITH A MYSTERY, but when it ended, the Scientist or someone contributed it to improved hygiene. I Contribute It To The Hand Of God.
1918 The Spanish Flu epidemic has the Deadliest in History. It was said to have infected an estimated 500 Million people Worldwide, killing an estimated 20 to 50 Million; which was an estimated One third of the planets population, and killing 675, 000 in America.
In 1993 Contaminated water in Milwaukee, over 403,000 infected, and more than 100 died. Other Pandemics in the United States has been, Polio, Yellow Fever, Typhoid Fever, Small Pox etc, But we have never had a Pandemic that has Shut Down The Whole Nation, until This Pandemic called CORONAVIRUS or (COVID 19). It is a New Illness that Scientist said came from China. I don’t know where it came from, but I do know that the Lord allowed to to happen, but even in this Pandemic the Lord is Merciful, Gracious, Kind, Slow To Anger, and Long Suffering, and He doesn’t want any of us to perish. He is giving us a chance to escape the penalties of Hell. We see the Disaster, Hurt, Pain, and Death, and still some of us go on with Business as Usual, and when this Corona Virus is Past (even though I feel this is not the end, but is only the Beginning of sorrow), and we are Living in Perilous times. So when this CORONAVIRUS is PAST, we may be like in Jeremiah 8:20. The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
We are in an Invisible War. A War that man don’t have the Weapons to Destroy. We can’t see it, Don’t know where it is, or when it is going to attack. It may attack today, tomorrow, next week, summer, or winter. It is an Enemy that the Lord has allowed to sweep through the Land. It may be sitting next to you, standing over you, you don’t know because if we did we could try and get out of the way, or stand guard. We can’t fight this enemy with Natural Weapons, or Missiles, We can’t fight it talking about the President, but the Saints has a Weapon which is not carnal, but mighty through God which can pull down this Stronghold, and that WEAPON is PRAYER. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and PRAY, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The President is Baffled, the Scientist, is Baffled, and some of the Saints are Baffled, (DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO), as was in 2 Chronicles in the Bible, when the enemy, a great multitude, came up against Judah (the chosen of God) to battle, or fight. The King Jehoshaphat may have been Baffled as well, but He set himself to SEEK the Lord, and in 2 Chronicles 20:12 He cried out to God, O Our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; “NEITHER KNOW WE WHAT TO DO”, but our eyes are upon thee. The Lord said in verse 15 Be not afraid nor this great multitude; (this CONOROVIRUS) (We can be Cautious, but not Afraid) for the battle is not yours but Gods.
We have other Disasters, and Illnesses, which we are confronted with, Tornados, Earthquakes, Floods, Fires, Cancer, Suicide, Addictions, Sexual Trafficking, Mental & Physical Abuse, and the list goes on. People are Hurting, and the Struggle is Real.
Our Faith Is On Trial: Paul said let Us, (Saints of God) LET US COME BOLDLY UNTO THE THRONE (Come With Confidence, Run To God). (Get into the Closet Of Prayer), Where We Can Approach God, Shut out everything, and Commune with Him. There is Peace in the Closet, There is Direction in the Closet, There we will receive Mercy in the Closet, and Find Grace to help us. IN TIMES LIKE THESE.
IN TIMES LIKE THESE, LET US PRAY, and TRUST GOD.
Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots, some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord.
Some may be Trusting in The Stimulus Checks, Some in The Unemployment, and Some in The Government ,which is much needed ( I could almost cry thinking about the pain, and suffering of the people, because it could be me). Some also maybe trusting in the Liquor Stores to Drive The Pain Away, but we will remember the name of the Lord.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10
“In Times Like These” LET US PRAY
Luke 24:1-5 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. 2. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. 3. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, and they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
They came looking for Jesus, to anoint His body, and was Puzzled, and fear set in, because they found an empty tomb, and didn’t know what had happened to Jesus. Then they had a visit from above, who reassured them that He was not there, and was risen as was told them afore time.
Luke 24:6 & 7 He is not here, But Is Risen, The Son Of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day Rise Again.
Our Lord, and Saviour died a shameful death on an Old Rugged Cross. The Cross to the sinner is death, but the Cross to the Saint is Salvation. He died, but on the third day He Rose again.
When he rose, He rose with ALL power in His hands, Power to Save, Heal, and Deliver from the hands of the enemy. He rose that we may have Salvation, and Cleanse us from ALL Unrighteousness. He rose with Healing Power in His Hands. Psalms 107:20 He sent His Word and Healed them, and Delivered them from there destruction. He rose to Deliver us from everything, or anything that come to Plague, or Torment us. He can even Deliver from the enemy of the Corona Virus. He can Speak, and this invisible enemy would have to obey, and flee (Take flight, and get up out of here).
Psalms 107:6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
Just as Jesus arose in Mark 4: 39, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, PEACE BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a GREAT CALM. He can do the same to this Corona Virus.
Now Let Us Keep Calling Upon God As We PRAY For Salvation, Healing, And Deliverance, And For The Lord To Bind This Corona Virus.
Matthew 24: 3-8 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6. And ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: FOR ALL THESE THINGS MUST COME TO PASS, but the end is not yet. 7. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and PESTILENCES, ( A fatal epidemic disease), and earthquakes, in divers places. 8. All these are the BEGINNING OF SORROWS.
PESTILENCE, Earthquakes, Religious deception, Social, and Political Upheavals, Natural Calamities, Disloyalty, and Persecutions, all are Precursors of the end times.
In the midst of the PESTILENCE, (Corona virus), Sickness, Fatalities, Difficulties, Uncertainties, Unrest, Fear, Economic Decline, Health Battles, and Mental Struggles, the Lord’s Followers are to PERSEVERE More than ever before.
PERSEVERE IN PRAYER: “The Communication That Help Us Access Heaven”
2 Chronicles 7: 13 & 14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I send PESTILENCE (a fatal epidemic disease-Corona Virus) among my people; 14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
PERSEVERE IN READING THE WORD OF GOD: “It Brings Solace, Salvation, Healing, And Deliverance”
Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord.
PERSEVERE IN SPREADING THE GOSPEL: ” The Good News of Jesus Christ”
Mark 16: 15 & 16 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
“LET US PRAY, READ THE WORD OF GOD, AND PROCLAM THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST”
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
God let Israel, know that he was his servant whom he had chosen and had not cast him away, and in Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help.
For God had not given us the Spirit of Fear, but of Power, and of Love, and of a Sound Mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Matthew 24:7b & 8 and there shall be famines, and PESTILENCES ( a fatal epidemic disease), and earthquakes in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Jesus let us know in Matthew 24: 6 see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Psalms 91: 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome PESTILENCE. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; 6 Nor for the PESTILENCE that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation, 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: 15 He shall call upon me , and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
2 Chronicles 7:13, & 14 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send PESTILENCE among my people: If my people , which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK my face, and TURN from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
During these trying times, as we PRAY: Lord, give us the Boldness to speak your word to this troubled world, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs, and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. Ref. Acts 4:29
“NOW LET US PRAY, AND WITNESS AS NEVER BEFORE”
James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Reference Scripture 1 Samuel 1:1-28
Hannah (Grace) was a Praying woman who was barren. She was married to Elkanah (God’s chosen), who was a righteous man. He was a Ephrathite of the tribal territory of Ephraim. Elkanah had a second wife named Penniah who had children, but Hannah had no children, and was provoked by her adversary because the Lord had closed her womb. Therefore she wept, and did not eat because she was miserable, and destitute, and only God could give her the joy she desired. Hannah didn’t just sit idly and complain about her situation, but she exercised her faith in God through Prayer.
Through Hannah’s desperation, submission, and contrite spirit, she grew closer to God, and in her misery she trusted in God’s true grace. She entered into the Closet of Prayer, and drew apart from her adversary to commune with God. ( Sometimes we may need to steal away with Jesus, and acknowledge Him in Prayer). Her Prayer was accomplished by the vow that ‘if God would give her a son, she would give him back to Him for the rest of his life. She further vowed he would be a Nazarite (Numbers 6:1-4), and would separate himself to the Lord. God granted her request, and Hannah remembered God, and kept her vow. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow than that thou shouldest vow, and not pay” (Eccles. 5:5)
Regardless of the circumstances, Hannah continued to Pray before God. Hannah’s Pray was intense, completely spiritual, and inward, for she spoke from the heart. She travailed in Prayer, pouring out her soul before the Lord. The petition Hannah made was fervent as well as sincere, and God heard her cry, and granted her request. “The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16
“Now Let Us Pray”
Beloved if God so Loved us, we ought also to Love one another. 1 John 4:11
Love is a Self-Denying, self-Sacrificing action word with Christ like Characteristics. Love is not Partial, nor only for a Select Few, but for Everyone. For God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (What Manner Of Love) But God commendeth his Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
“THE REAL THING”- Love blooms in the midst of life’s ugliness. According to Paul, Love is our capacity to embrace a loved one or a stranger outside the gate, despite their faults and inadequacies. It is the ability to be there for that individual, no matter what. Real Love is not only professed, but acted upon, and acted out. Love is putting all of our good intentions into action.
Jesus commands us to Love one another in the same way that He has Loved us: “As I have Loved you, that ye also Love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have Love one to another” ( John 13: 34-35). As we Love we are to provide the care, nurturing, and support for our brothers, and sisters that is essential to their Well-Being, and their Spiritual Growth, and Development. Paul’s famous Love passage also says that Love is something that grows stronger, and ultimately becomes a Spiritual reality that sheds light on true meaning, and true being. Love is Immutable, Genuine, and Everlasting. Love is the Real stuff that life is made of. Love is “The Real Thing!” God Is Love! We can never outlive Love, for Love never dies. After all of our living, we shall see God Face to Face-“The Real Thing!”
PRAYER: “Lord, help me to move myself out of the way so that I might Love others. Help Me to understand that my Love for others grows out of your Love for me. Help Me, Lord, to keep on Loving, and sharing, and Caring so that others might be able to see You in me Amen”.

“NOW LET US PRAY”
Now that we have entered into a New Year, The year of 2020, I am pressing toward the mark for the prize of a high calling of God in Christ Jesus. I thank God for the year of 2019 for ALL the Blessings that the Lord granted me both Natural, and Spiritual, but most of all the Spiritual Blessings. The Blessings that were given as well as received, in traveling to States with Speaking Engagements in order to Encourage others, and Souls won into the Kingdom of God. I even am Thankful for the Disappointments, and the Test, because I realize that without a Test there would not be a Testimony, and each Trial comes to make me a stronger person. David said in Psalms 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statues.
Now that 2020 is here I am forgetting those things that are behind (Philippians 3:13) unless they will make me a better person, in pushing me toward a Greater Future. A Future in helping me to fulfill the purpose that God has ordained for my life.
In every area of a Christian’s life God has a Purpose, and a Plan. A Plan of Prosperity, Protection, and Deliverance. So I want the Lord to give me Clear Vision in this year of 2020, in order to fulfill the Purpose, and the Plan for my life. Lord help me as well as others to believe, and wait for the Vision. Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Lord as I wait, Let me do what you want me to do, Let me see, what you want me to see, Let me hear what you want me to hear, and Let me say what you want me to say. David said in Psalms 141:3 Set a watch O Lord before my mouth, keep the door of my lips. Paul say in Colossians 4:4 & 5 that I may make it manifest as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without redeeming the time.
Blessings in this year of 2020.
As we celebrate In this Christmas Season, let us remember that “Jesus is the Reason For The Season”, who came that we may receive Salvation. St. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall his people from their sins.
Having received Salvation, we have the Riches of the Glory of His inheritance in the Saints, with our primary existence being to Glorify God. Ephesians 1:17 & 18 That the Lord of our God Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. ( That we will have practical workable principles, and clear perception, and applicable understanding, that our heart may receive the brightness of hope when the wealth of God’s investment is understood, after receiving Salvation).
Isaiah 43: 7 Everyone that is called by my name: for I have created him for my Glory, I have formed him; yea I have made him. We were created, made in the image of God, Designed by God to Serve God, Reverence God, and Live for God. The only way we can Reverence God is we have to accept him in our heart as our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
St. Luke 19:10 For the son of man came to seek, and to save that which was lost. We were lost (born in sin). Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Titus 3:3-6 for we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice, and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but According To His Mercy He Saved Us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost: Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour.

In the natural closet in the fall is the transition from summer into winter. A time when the nights become noticeable earlier. A time that you will find a light jacket, and a little warmer clothing for chilly days. It is a time when we can see the evidence of our work, and a time to see where we need to go. It is a colorful time of year. Leaves are falling off. That is the way of protecting the trees for when the winter months come. It’s a season where the colorful trees are the transition of summer into fall, having both the abundance, and the limitation of our everyday lives. Many changes occur during the fall months.
In the closet of prayer in the fall, there is a cutting away, and pruning to get of the of man (old sinful nature) and put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness, and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24. We are loosed from strongholds-the things that have a tight grip on us, holding us back, and preventing us from fulfilling the purpose the Lord has for us. It is a time to rid ourselves of the weights that are hindering our progress with the Lord. It’s a time of overcoming obstacles, stresses, distresses, and complexities that have us bogged down in order to restore, protect, and deliver us from the hand of the Enemy. We then can be prepared to go through the gloomy days of our lives where the days look dark, and suffering takes place to be able to weather the storm in the winter.
It’s a time when God is doing something in our lives, even when we don’t see it. It’s the gap between today, and tomorrow. It’s a time God is preparing us for the last season in our lives-the season of old age, which is not the end of life but full of the harvest of good things.
When we want to overcome obstacles, and rid ourselves of unwanted habits, we need to increase our prayer life, and add fasting with the prayers. When I decided I wanted the Lord to do something special in my life during any season, I decided to stay longer in the closet of prayer. I would go to church at St. Mark Church of God in Christ on Friday nights, and pray for four hours, from 8:00pm till 12:00am
In Every Season of our lives Let us Continue in Prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2
